The Light Factor

You must click photographs in a way that compliment the subject. Light can make an object appear too bright or too dull, making features invisible.

While you can use shades and reflectors to improve conditions, the placement of your subject and your camera is also important.

Use the sun as your advantage. If the sun is behind the subject, take pictures from the front and vice versa.

Choose A Single Subject

Having just one subject in a photograph would allow you to concentrate on one focal point and get better results. You can then also zoom in properly on one subject and enhance its features.

Be Creative

Photographing is all about being creative. You need to sink in deep into your imagination and come up with interesting scenarios such as interaction of the subject with an object, or changing your direction more into an angle. Let’s consider you’re covering a sports related event and the action is fast, so you need to set your shutter speed to ‘fast’ which is around 1/500th of a second. On the other hand, if you’re at a birthday party and framing portraits and singles then set your shutter speed to ‘slow’ which ranges from 1/1000th to 1/2000th of a second.
