Use Luminar as Apple Photos extension

The Apple Photos app was introduced several years ago and has become a default photo library for millions of Mac users around the world. Luminar integrates flawlessly with the Apple Photos and works as an editing extension. You can easily export images from Apple Photos straight to Luminar. The extension brings users almost all the same tools that are available when using Luminar as a standalone photo editor, including layers, the masking brush, dozens of great photo filters, and of course one-click presets. Please note: batch processing is not supported by Apple Photos, so you will not be able to use this great tools while in extension mode.

It is no secret that Apple Photos has a quite limited set of photo editing tools. Luminar extension adds to Photos many photo editing features it is missing. In this video, Jim Nix explains how to launch Luminar as an Apple Photos extension, how to edit a photo and then send it back to your image library.

To get a photo editor for your Mac and try on your own photos, browse the Luminar page and download a free trial. You'll be able to access to over 300 great tools and features. Have fun editing with Luminar by Macphun and Apple Photos.
